Keepin' it Short...

Those last few posts were unintentionally very short. I was trying out Ping.fm and it had some unexpected effect. I think I have it figured out now. Life is busy and getting busier so I am trying to find some things to simplify my life but also keep in touch with all my friends and family. To that end, I am using Ping.fm, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc. to keep up with the quick updates. We will see how it all works out.

Random Purge

Presidential Race
I really don't know what to think about the Presidential Race.

1. It seems like it has been going on forever. It almost has. I really hope there is some backlash based on how long they have been in the public eye so that maybe we won't be subjected to a two-year campaign next time.
2. Obama is very crafty and I am not sure that is presidential. He uses language to sidestep in a way that I am VERY tired of from our presidents. Joe Biden was an interesting choice but doesn't really go with the slogan of 'Change'. Is anybody more 'inside' than Joe Biden in the Democratic Party?
3. McCain was boring me to death before the veep choice. Seems like a little bit of a reach but you have to applaud the progressive thinking...although she seems to be slightly right of Atilla. The biggest shock was not that the daughter is pregnant but allegedly McCain knew and STILL chose her.
4. I am sure we will learn much about all these poor people that we never wanted to know.

Technology
I really like by Blackberry but with it disconnected from my corporate email it doesn't same me that much time. It helps but just not the same. Considering how busy my personal life is I guess I should be thankful. However...

I really want an Android-based phone when they hit. I rely on Google for tons of things in my day-to-day life and I believe between the things that will come from the big G on the phone and the things that will come from the Open Source community it has got to be good.
