So, I decided to write about something that I admit knowing nothing about: the causes of global warming. Novel, I know. Everyone knows:
  1. Man made greenhouse gas
  2. Greenhouse gas bad
  3. Man cause global warming

I know what most of you (and by most I mean you, Jennifer, as you are the only one reading this) are thinking, "Tsk, tsk, you should not make fun of global warming. Almost as bad as clubbing baby seals." Okay, you got me. I am a clubber of baby sea...oops, I meant contrary.

Let me start by saying "I BELIEVE MAN CONTRIBUTES TO GLOBAL TEMPERATURE VARIANCE." Okay, I said it. Hope you are all happy. Now for the bad news. Also guilty of impacting the temperature are:

  1. Natural variation
  2. Axis wobble
  3. Solar irradiation

Can I by carbon credits to offset solar irradiation? No.

Can I stabilize the Earth's tilt? No.

Can I stop the variance of temperature on Earth? No.

Look, I'm not saying Algore is an idiot (but he is) and that the Green Party have a nefarious, hidden agenda (but they d0), I am just saying try to use some logic in the face of the overly dramatic cries for energy prohibition. I know this is not a popular opinion and will get me some heat. It is inevitable. Debate on this issue is even less tolerated than anti-war discussion. Why is that? Something to do with bugs scattering when the light is shined on them.

Anyway, please don't be a lemming. Please try to see all angles. And, ultimately, follow the money on both sides of the argument. The truth is always somewhere near the middle.
